I'm starting the blog to document the making of my 2011 Christmas light show. I am currently in the planning stages, but hope to be programming by the next of the week. Last year the lighting system consisted of 336 RGB leds, each individually controllable.
This year I hope to have a total of 504 RGB LEDs along the roof line, outlining some features on the front of the house, and in a large wreath. In addition I'm adding 36 channels of dimmer control for normal lights. I plan to have 10 mini-trees using two channels each for white and multicolored lights. I plan to use the rest of the dimmers to control strobes, small wreaths on the front of the house, some par cans, and the normal Christmas lights along the roof line.
Once again I'm shooting for a half hour show, with some of the songs from last year and a few new ones. Keep watching this space for details as I go!
